Characteristics and aims
Maastricht Debates is a platform for debate and networking for and by Maastricht actors on issues of international cooperation, European relations, and globalisation.
How to get there
In 2010, Maastricht Debates organises its events in the city centre of Maastricht: the culturally rich atmosphere of the Selexyz Dominicanen bookstore - Dominikanerkerkstraat 1 - is the perfect ambiance for a good debate. The professional catering of Coffeelovers offers the participants a welcome coffee or tea and a drink afterwards. In special occassions, Maastricht Debates organises events at the AINSI theatre, only a 15 minute bike ride away from the city centre of Maastricht, Lage Kanaaldijk 112 – 113, Maastricht, first floor.
Debate in a creative setting
In 2009-2010, all Maastricht Debates events take place at the AINSI theatre, only a 15 minute bike ride away from the city centre. Debating in a creative setting. In this new academic year, the focus will be on MONEY: the relations between money, development and the protection of global public goods, from a European perspective.
